RetroRing combines the timeless look of a classic desk phone with modern Bluetooth technology, allowing you to make and receive calls from your smartphone using a real, physical telephone.

What you need
-
A 5V USB-A power adapter
-
A smartphone (iOS or Android) with Bluetooth
Getting started
Power on & Pairing
-
Turn the Retro Landline upside down and press and hold the power button for 1 second.
-
You will hear a voice message confirming the device is powered on and the indicator light will start flashing blue.

Connect the coiled cable to the handset and the base.
-
On your smartphone, go to Settings → Bluetooth and select Retro Landline.
-
When connected, you will hear a confirmation and the indicator light will turn solid blue.
Multiple phones
-
One Retro Landline can connect to up to 2 smartphones at the same time.
-
One smartphone can be paired with up to 5 Retro Landline devices.
Making & receiving calls
-
Answer a call: Pick up the handset
-
Hang up: Place the handset back on the cradle
-
Dial a number: Pick up the handset and use the keypad
-
Speakerphone: Press the speaker button to talk hands-free
-
Voice assistant: Press the
*button and say a command like:-
“Call John”
-
“What’s the weather?”
-
“Set an alarm for 7 AM”
-
Switching audio between phone and smartphone
You can switch the call audio anytime using your smartphone’s audio output settings.
Volume control
Call volume
-
Press and hold the # button to adjust volume.
-
The volume will gradually go up or down. Release when it feels right.
Ringer volume

Use the ringer switch on the bottom of the device to set it to Low, Medium, or High.
Disconnect Bluetooth
-
Turn off Bluetooth on your smartphone
or -
Press and hold 0 on Retro Landline to clear all connections.
Indicator light
-
Solid blue: Connected
-
Flashing blue: Pairing mode
-
Red: Charging
-
Off: Powered off

Typical range: ~10 meters / 30 feet

Walls and large objects may reduce range

Auto-reconnect is enabled by default
Power & charging

Charge using the included USB-C cable and a 5V USB-A adapter

You can leave the device plugged in at all times

The device works while charging

Troubleshooting
Not appearing in Bluetooth list

Make sure Bluetooth is enabled
-
Make sure the indicator light is flashing blue
-
Move your phone closer
-
Restart Retro Landline and try again
-
Hold 0 to reset connections
No ringing

Make sure your phone is not in Do Not Disturb
-
Make sure Bluetooth is connected
-
Make sure the app has microphone permission
No sound or low sound
-
Check your smartphone audio output
-
Hold # to increase volume
-
End the call and try again
Call quality issues

Move your smartphone closer
-
Avoid walls or large appliances
-
Check your internet or cellular connection

Retro Landline comes with a limited warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal use.
This does not cover:
